CFS Is Open for Business!
At times it may be necessary for callers to leave a message, but we will promptly return your call. Please include your customer number in your message and note that our return call might come from an unrecognized number or appear as "blocked" on your caller ID. We know that you, too, are affected by the outbreak and so CFS will not raise any product prices this year. As always, if you renew by May 31st, you'll also get $10 off each program and 20% off supplies.
Have You Received Your Renewal Postcard?
Note that, due to space limitations, some renewal items may not be listed; the postcard is meant as a reminder to check your complete renewal notice online at taxtools.com/renew. Once you're there, it's easy to renew: simply add the items you wish to purchase to your cart and proceed to the checkout; sales tax and shipping will be calculated for you.
If you prefer not to order online, you can still call us or print out an order form from our website. However you decide to renew, be sure to do so by May 31, 2020, for the best savings of the year:
Also, please note that we have not raised our prices. All of our software and paper products are priced exactly the same as they were last year!
New Form 1099-NEC
The PATH Act, P.L. 114-113, Div. Q, sec. 201, accelerated the due date for filing Form 1099 that includes nonemployee compensation (NEC) from February 28 to January 31 and eliminated the automatic 30-day extension for forms that include NEC. Beginning with tax year 2020, use Form 1099-NEC to report nonemployee compensation. (Instructions for Forms 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC.)
If you ordered 1099-MISC forms from us last year, your reminder postcard and online renewal notice will show that quantity for the quantity of 1099-NEC forms you should order this year. If you previously used Form 1099-MISC for reporting income other than nonemployee compensation, you will need to adjust the quantity accordingly, and also order Form 1099-MISC.
