October 31st is the deadline for Fall offers!
Renew next year's software, forms, or tax supplies by October 31st and receive a free subscription to CFS Tax Research Online through April 30, 2012! Tax Research contains Internal Revenue Code, Regulations, Revenue Rulings and Procedures, Letter Rulings and other Chief Counsel Advice, Announcements, Notices, Publications, Treaties, and more. Search effortlessly through thousands of tax-related documents—from decades-old court decisions to the latest IRS press releases—using any computer with Internet access. To see how the program works, you can view a video of the program on the Instructional Videos page of our website.
You can take advantage of the free Tax Research offer by renewing online and typing "FREE TR" in the Special Instructions box that appears at the end of the checkout process. Note: To be eligible for this offer, you must renew next year's software, forms, or tax supplies by October 31, 2011. If you have already renewed and want to take advantage of the offer, please contact us here.
October 31st is also the last day to save 10% on tax forms, envelopes, and other supplies, including custom folders. Our supplies are competitively priced and come in a wide variety of styles and colors—fill out this online form to request free samples.
The IRS is advising all tax professionals who have not yet obtained Electronic Filing Identification Numbers (EFINs) to begin the process now so that they will meet the new e-file requirements for 2012. Starting in January, any paid preparer or firm that prepares and files eleven or more returns must use IRS e-file.
To become an Authorized IRS e-file Provider, you must create an e-Services account, submit an EFIN application and pass a suitability check. The approval process can take 45 days or more.
For details, see IRS News Release IR-2011-100.
W2/1099, Payroll Corrector, and Forms Starter Kits
We have begun shipping W2/1099 and Corrector CDs to customers who have CD service, and we will soon be shipping Forms Starter Kits to customers who are to receive them. If you are not sure whether or not you ordered your programs on CD, you can always check your order online by logging in to your MyCFS account. If you did not order a CD (or don't want to wait for one), you can download the W2/1099 and Corrector programs from our software downloads page.
Note: If you have already purchased and installed LivePayroll or 941/940 2011, you do not need a CD or a full program download to install either W2/1099 or Payroll Corrector. Simply select "Update from the Web" from the "Internet Options" menu of Payroll System 2011, or select "Software Updates" from the "Downloads" menu at TaxTools.com to download and install from our web site. However, you must also update your license code. Your license code changes whenever you purchase new software; you can always obtain your current license code by logging in to your MyCFS account.
CFS Customer Referral Program
When you refer a new customer to CFS using our Customer Referral Program form, that customer will receive a 20% discount on his or her first CFS order, and you will receive a 20% discount on any single CFS program. For details and to download a Customer Referral Program form, go to our website.
It's seminar season!
Tax seminars are extremely important to our business. They keep us informed of changes in the industry, allow customers to give us feedback, and give us the opportunity to demonstrate our software to potential customers so that they can see for themselves how well our programs work. Customers who purchase CFS software at a seminar benefit from our generous seminar discount plus free shipping. A list of some of the seminars we are attending this season is posted on our website.
