Top "Frequently Asked Questions"
On our “Frequently Asked Questions” web page, one of the most frequently accessed items this month was “How can I contact CFS for Help.” If you have one of our programs installed, it’s easy: just click on Help, then click About. There you will find our toll-free phone number, (800) 343-1157. You can use this number to call CFS Technical Support or Customer Service.

From within our programs, you can also click on Internet Options to e-mail CFS Technical Support. Just enter a brief description of your problem and an e-mail will be sent to us. You will be contacted by e-mail or phone within one business day.

If you do not have one of our programs installed, go to our web site at www.taxtools.com and click on Support, then Technical Support. Our phone numbers are also listed there.

Other top "Frequently Asked Questions" this month had to do with the new Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7. If you have installed the new Internet Explorer and are unable to update CFS programs from the Internet, click here for instructions.

Another common question this month concerns a conflict between the reports function in our programs and that in several other programs, notably TaxWorks and CSUTax. If you have either of these programs and/or your reports are taking an excessive time to print and report items are not lined up horizontally, call us and we will guide you through the fix.

Information about Windows Vista Compatibility
We are already getting a few questions about Windows Vista, Microsoft’s newest operating system. Like most tax software companies, we do not recommend installing Vista during tax season. However, if you do upgrade, we have done some testing and our programs should work with Vista. The only problem we have identified is that the help files will not be accessible.
