Early renewal incentives expire August 31st!
Time is running out! This is your last chance to cash in on the incentives CFS is offering to persuade you to renew your software early for next year. Earn a $5 voucher for each program you renew by August 31st, plus a 10% discount on any program you've never ordered before. Click here to login to your MyCFS account and renew online.

Now is also a good time to order your tax supplies. Forms, folders, envelopes, checks and labels are all 20% off when you order them by August 31st. Click here for our online store.

CFS Label/Envelope Maker—a Valuable Tool.
The Label/Envelope Maker included in CFS programs is one of the most versatile and useful tools you will find for your tax practice. It can be used to create labels, envelopes or slipsheets—printing them from your client database, an included list of IRS and state mailing addresses, or a custom list that you create. Customize the font, style and size of your text, and choose from an extensive list of standard label and envelope sizes or design your own layout.

Here are just a few ways the Label/Envelope Maker can make your job easier:

  1. Print custom slipsheets to fit standard flat-size window envelopes for mailing tax materials to your clients.
  2. Print envelopes or labels addressed to all of your clients for mass mailings.
  3. Print a supply of address labels for IRS and state agencies.
  4. Print addressed envelopes for estimated tax payments.
  5. Print file folder labels for everyone in your client database.

The Label/Envelope Maker is included in all CFS programs except Fill-N-Print, Tax Research, and Quick Reference Guide. See our online store for labels, envelopes, and other supplies. Order supplies by August 31st and receive 20% off!

Now is the time to buy a hybrid vehicle.
The Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit for hybrid vehicles, enacted as part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, phases out according to the number of vehicles sold by the manufacturer. Phase-out of the credit begins the second calendar quarter after the quarter in which the manufacturer records its sale of the 60,000th qualified vehicle, with no credit allowed after the fifth quarter.

The tax credit for purchasing a Toyota Prius, the best-selling hybrid vehicle, was originally $3,150. However, the phase-out period for Toyota began on October 1, 2006. Currently, the tax credit for a Prius has been reduced to $787.50, and after September 30, 2007, Toyota and Lexus hybrid vehicles will no longer be eligible for the tax credit. Other manufacturers of hybrid vehicles have not yet reached the 60,000-vehicle phase-out limit, and are eligible for varying credit amounts, depending upon the make and model.

The Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit can only be claimed by the original purchaser of a hybrid vehicle; the credit does not apply to a leased vehicle or the purchase of a used vehicle. Also, the credit cannot be used to offset the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). A taxpayer cannot claim the credit unless the taxpayer's regular tax liability exceeds the taxpayer's AMT liability.
