Scannable forms should not be faxed, photocopied, or exported to PDF.
A number of users have reported having scannable forms rejected by the IRS or a state agency. We have found that most such rejections are due to the submission of forms that were not directly printed from the CFS program.

To ensure that they can be read electronically, scannable forms should not be faxed, photocopied, or exported to PDF files.

Please make sure that you only submit scannable forms that have been printed directly from the CFS program.
